Jakarta, VIVA – Otto Cornelius Kaligis, the legal representative of the candidate couple in the 2024 Muara Enim Regency Regional Elections, Nasrum Umar – Lia Anggraini, questioned various irregularities in the election process there. Therefore, he reported this to the election supervisory body.
“We are here to report alleged violations and fraud in the process of electing the Regent and Deputy Regent of Enim Regency 2024,” said the famous lawyer known as OC Kaligis, in his statement on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Kaligis said that they had received allegations of violations. Namely, manipulation of the results of the vote count. This then impacted the election results of Nasrum Umar – Lia Anggraini.

“Regarding the alleged violations and fraud in the election process that affected the election results in Muara Enim Regency and the decrease in votes for candidate number 3 Nasrun Umar – Lia Anggraini supported by the Gerindra Party,” he explained.
Kaligis explained that the allegations were discovered during the vote counting process. At that time, he said, the count had reached over 50 percent and candidate number 3 was leading by 10 percent over their competitors.
“When candidate pair number 3 was leading candidate pair number 2, suddenly, the vote count led by the Head of the Muara Enim Regency KPU, Mrs. Rohani, experienced two power outages, causing the vote count to stop when candidate pair number 3 was leading by 10 percent over candidate pair number 2,” explained OC Kaligis.
“After the power was restored, there was a drastic decrease in the number of votes for candidate pair number 3, resulting in candidate pair number 2 taking the lead,” he continued.
Upon finding these allegations of fraud, Kaligis stated that they immediately filed a report with the Enim Regency Bawasalu with registered Report Number 002/PL/PB/KAB/06.08/XI/2024.
They also submitted a request to Bawaslu Enim Regency through letter No. 1004/OCK.XII/2024 for the follow-up of the report they submitted.
“There has been manipulation of blank votes data in the final recapitulation results in Forkopimda, and this is supported by the final recapitulation results and notes from Bawaslu.
