Jakarta, VIVA – Wakil Ketua (Waka) DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated that they are still monitoring the government’s plan to increase Value Added Tax (VAT) to 12 percent. He mentioned that the plan is currently being reviewed in the DPR.
“We are following the decision made through the law in 2022 and currently, the review is ongoing to see if the current situation can be implemented even though the law states that there should be an increase in January 2025,” Dasco told reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Dasco also urged everyone to be patient regarding the certainty of the planned 12 percent VAT increase.
