Kurnool, VIVA – A village in India celebrated the Hindu New Year or Ugadi in a unique way by engaging in a cow dung war, where they threw cow dung at each other.
The residents of Kairuppala near Kurnool District, India, named this cow dung war as Pidakala War.
In a video shared on Instagram account @Winnews_, hundreds of villagers were seen joyfully throwing cow dung at each other.

Small handfuls of cow dung were continuously thrown in the air, while some villagers watched the cow dung war from the balcony of a house.
According to the Instagram account, the Hindu New Year or Ugadi celebration on the first day traditionally involves cleaning the house, creating colorful rangoli, and enjoying special dishes with family.

On the second day, after visiting the temple and changing into new clothes, the cow dung war took place, with villagers divided into two groups attacking each other.
